My love for photography, along with my knack for it, giving moments in Spartans Athletics the chance to live and be seen has only grown and flourished during my time at Missouri Baptist. For two years, I was the lead photographer for the majority of home events across 28 varsity sports. In total, I published over 10,000 photos and helped facilitate a new way to display the galleries we captured for MoBap fans, creating and coordinating the Flickr account you can see featured below.
Displaying our work in the Athletics Department, while it was easy enough to push out on social media, and lending to the accessibility of all MBU fans became a goal of mine following the completion of my first year. I set out to create a Flickr account for MBU Athletics and kicked it off in the summer following the 2021-22 seasons with a review gallery. I combed through and found the best of the best for all of our varsity sports, whether they were taken by me or not, to create the following ‘MBU Athletics 2021-22: A Year in Pictures’
Working at the student newspaper The O’Colly at Oklahoma State allowed me the opportunity to expand my horizons as a creative and helped me develop my passion for photography and telling the stories that still images can generate. Here you can find a collection of my work as a photographer covering OSU athletic contests and other events on and around campus.
Through Oklahoma State’s sports media program and its partnership with Stillwater High School athletics, I had the opportunity to cover the Stillwater Pioneer football team. My responsibilities included shooting and editing game photos, creating graphics, and running the team’s Twitter account, @StillwaterFB.
